The Trust is looking to recruit two part-time Period Interpreters to work at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Gardens. There are two contracts available, role 1 working 18 hours in week 1 and 21.5 hours in week 2, and role 2 working 12 hours in week 1 and 21.5 hours in week 2.
Reporting to the House Steward and working closely with the other Period Interpreters and Conservation and Engagement Assistant, you will deliver excellent standards of visitor experience through a warm welcome and engaging sharing of information to enhance visitors' understanding of Shakespeare's work, life and times.
To be successful in this role you should have excellent communication skills and be confident talking to the public. You should have an interest in William Shakespeare, his work, life and times, be able to vary your talk to the visitor and answer their questions, and deal with situations that may arise in an appropriate way.
