Award Winning Gardens
Discover and enjoy nine acres of beautiful grounds.
Wander though stunning cottage gardens with traditional Tudor planting, beautiful blooms, shrubs and traditional herbs and vegetables.
Take time to listen to a reading of one of the dramatist's popular sonnets in the willow arbour and look out for our singing tree and giant willow sculptures. Then discover our new addition, Miss Willmott's Garden named after the Edwardian horticulturist who designed our cottage gardens in the 19th-century.
Explore our new and specially created conservation borders (spring and summer) that have been specially designed to attract butterflies. Then escape amongst the trees for a woodland walk, whilst listening to a unique musical composition inspired by Shakespeare (headphones provided for a small deposit).
Don't miss the heart-shaped lavender maze - the perfect place to declare your love or even propose to your loved one as well as the Shakespeare Arboretum and Sculpture trail with many trees, shrubs and roses all featured in Shakespeare's writings.
