500 Years Exhibition

A Tudor tending the fire

1 April - 31 October 2014

2014 marks the 500th anniversary of the building of Mary Arden's Farm. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, our exhibition celebrates the community and history of Wilmcote, where the farm is situated.

The exhibition brought together five local community groups to create our own modern day Bayeaux Tapestry. Five panels have been created using different media such as textiles, paintings and photography to depict each century of the farm's 500 year history. The first panel features the building of the farm and is being created by our own Tudor intepreters.
