Apple Days & Michaelmas Festival

Tudor celebration of the apple harvest at Mary Arden's Farm

28-29 September 2013

Mary Arden's Farm

  • Family Fun

Our longest running event and one of the highlights of the Farm's calendar.

Michaelmas comes at the end of the harvest and is the Feast of St Michael the Archangel.  It marks the end of the fishing season and the beginning of the hunting season. It was the time to pick apples and make cider and was one of the quarter days for settling rents and accounts.

Celebrate the Tudor apple harvest and learn about the English apple with apple-themed games, activities and food.

  • Tudor cooking displays with apple recipes to take home
  • Apple tasting and identification
  • Falconry displays
  • Period and modern craft traders and demonstrators
  • Tudor music & dancing
  • BBQ, cider and apple juice bar

Normal admission applies. Entry to the festival is included in your entry ticket to Mary Arden's Farm, which is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
