Summer Holidays at Shakespeare's Family Homes

Part of  Summer Holidays

Play games through the ages during the school holidays.

18 July - 06 September 2015

The summer holidays are the perfect time to explore Shakespeare's family homes and there will be something for everyone throughout the school holidays.

We're going to spend the summer playing games from throughout the ages! Try your hand at Tudor favourites like quoits and loggits, play the coconut shy at the Victorian fair, enjoy parlour games from WWI England and try out archery and swordplay to mark the anniversary of the battle of Agincourt.

Activites take place from 12pm - 4pm daily and are included in admission, so if you already have a valid ticket you can come along for free!

Shakespeare's Birthplace - Test your mettle in the age of Agincourt with a bow and arrow, or even a sword!

Hall's Croft - Improve your skills at WWI games like tiddlywinks, skittles and blow football.

Harvard House - Try your luck at Hazard 17th Century style, or practise strategy and cunning in a game of draughts.

Anne Hathaway's Cottage & Gardens - All the fun of the Victorian fair: play the coconut shy and tin can alley, or hone your circus skills!

Mary Arden's Farm - Take a break from farm life for a round of Tudor games.

Plus get lost in our new hay bale maze and venture into the woods on our children's activity trail!

Don't miss our fabulous family trails that bring each of the houses to life with extra puzzles and treasures hunts for children of all ages.

Match the Shakespearian fathers and sons around Shakespeare's Birthplace, create a magical spell at Mary Arden's Farm, play eye spy at Anne Hathaway's Cottage, help John and Susanna plan their party outfits at Hall's Croft and spot the luxury items from the New World at Harvard House!

Discover all this and more at Shakespeare's family homes this summer.
