This year's Shakespeare Film Festival celebrates up and coming film-makers from around the world, with workshops and seminars as well as exclusive screenings from our Filming Shakespeare short film competition.

 

Wednesday 5 & Thursday 6 November, 4 - 6pm
Filming Shakespeare - Short Film Screenings

Join us at the Stratford-upon-Avon Picturehouse for two exclusive screenings of some of our favourite Filming Shakespeare competition entries, as selected by our judging panel. The top 15 Shakespeare-inspired short films will be shown on the big screen on both Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 November.

Tickets are free but places are limited, so advanced booking via Stratford Picturehouse is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Filming Shakespeare - Gala Award Evening

Stratford-upon-Avon Picturehouse hosts a very special gala event where the winner of this year's Filming Shakespeare Short Film Competition will be announced. Enjoy screenings of the top 7 finalists, find out who has been chosen as our winner and relax at a drinks reception.

Chris McGill, Dusthouse Films - Seminar

Bringing Shakespeare to the Big Screen; developing themes and approaches to create re-imaginings that will inspire and engage new audiences.

Dusthouse Films have a wealth of experience working with cultural partners, on location and presenting Shakespeare in new ways. Their documentary film ‘A Summer Hamlet’ was screened as part of last year’s festival and featured the Shakespeare’s Globe production of Hamlet, which toured internationally.

Join Chris McGill, Director of Dusthouse, for this exclusive seminar and networking event at the Shakespeare Centre.

The Brothers McLeod - Seminar

We're delighted to welcome BAFTA award winning filmmakers The Brothers McLeod to host an informal seminar and networking event at the Shakespeare Centre on Henley Street.

Greg and Myles McLeod are known for their animations, created for TV, short film, games and the web. In this session they will be talking about their own filmmaking process and offering tips on ways to get your work seen by those that matter.

Don't miss this amazing opportunity to network and learn from the shared experiences of other filmmakers.
