Perfect for launching a unit of play study, our long-standing ‘Brush Up’ talks give an overview of Shakespeare's world and give vital social and historical context pitched appropriately for KS3 students.

The lively, fast-paced talk explores:

  • Who was William Shakespeare by looking at the main points of his life and times
  • Shakespeare's schooldays
  • Play-going in Shakespeare's London - who, where and why?
  • What is the First Folio and why is it important?
  • Contemporary relevance - why Shakespeare now?
  • Session ends with an ask the expert Q&A.

Capacity: Up to 120 students per session

Duration: 60 minutes

A maximum of 4 sessions can be booked to suit the school timetable.

Cost: £450 plus travel for a half day or £700 plus travel for a full day
