Key Text Workshops

An interactive set text workshop that fuses live performance and on your feet activities with debate and discussion

Currently available for Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest.

This workshop mixes live performance of key scenes with interactive activities that explore the plot, characters, themes, language and context of your chosen play.

These sessions are ideal for all students, serving as an introduction to a new text, or as a revision session to build on what they have already learned.

Key elements of the workshop include:

  • Understanding plot and narrative
  • Exploring characters
  • Analysing language and imagery
  • Discussing historical context and contemporary relevance
  • Encouraging personal responses, creative thinking, subjective interpretation and enjoyment of the text.

Venue: In your school
Duration: 90 minutes
Numbers: Maximum 120 students per session

Price*: £350 for one 90 minute workshop; £600 for two workshops; £800 for three workshops

*Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT, teaching time, preparatory work and travel expenses to and from your venue. We reserve the right to increase the cost if extensive travel or overnight accommodation is required. Any additional costs will be discussed with you in advance and before booking is confirmed.
