SHAKESPEARE ONLINE MENU
Shakespeare lectures (pre-recorded)
45 minute richly illustrated pre-recorded talks delivered in a lively and engaging manner on a wide range of Shakespeare-related topics. Talks on all of Shakespeare’s plays are available. Bespoke talks are also available on request. Choose one or more of the following:
- Shakespeare’s Life and Times
- Shakespeare in the Archives
- Shakespeare in Performance
- Shakespeare’s History Plays
- Religion in the Elizabethan Period
- Individual Shakespeare plays of your choice
We recommend combining these talks with a LIVE follow-up engagement with the lecturer to allow interactive discussion of play/topic with students.
LIVE Engagements
45 minute LIVE Q&A with SBT Lecturer/Member of the Collections Team/or Head of Research.
This is an opportunity for students either to follow-up on pre-records, or to share ideas and engage with SBT’s team of Shakespearians.
We recommend combining these engagements with a pre-recorded talk as a useful springboard into the conversation.
‘Watch Party Package’, includes: pre-performance lecture + ‘Watch Party’ + facilitated post-performance discussion
45 minute pre-recorded illustrated talk focussing on your Shakespeare play in performance ahead of the viewing of an online performance of your choice*, followed by a 45 minute LIVE facilitated online post-performance discussion.
*Please note that the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is not able to provide any streaming of theatre/film productions; these must be provided by your university/school/group.
