Following on from the success of the past two years, the Birthplace Lightshow returned on Thursday 26 November 2015 to a crowd of eager spectators who waited in anticipation to see what the artists, Illuminos, had created.
This year’s show is interactive so audience members are invited to pull a book off a specially made bookcase which activates a scene to be projected onto the Birthplace. We had a queue of visitors waiting to do this with both adults and children very keen to participate.
Once the show had begun, visitors flocked to the garden where they witnessed magical elements, such as words that move as you walk, fireflies in the trees and star lanterns on the lawns. One visitor commented that it looked like something out of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The Birthplace Lightshow will run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday 4-6pm until the 19 December, so if you didn’t catch it last night there is still time!
