Chouan and Shakespeare Book

We’re very excited to have started selling a fantastic new Shakespeare guidebook published by Dorling Kindersley, simply titled ‘The Shakespeare Book’.

Pictured here is our lecturer in Shakespeare studies, Dr Anjna Chouan, who wrote several sections of the book.

The Shakespeare Book has been designed with DK’s usual colourful flair, and takes the unusual approach of offering a guide to all of Shakespeare's life and works, organised according to the stages of his life and career: The Freelance Writer (1589-1594); The Lord Chamberlain's Man (1594-1603); The King's Man (1603-1613).

Other contributing authors from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust include Dr Gillian Day and Nick Walton, and Professor Stanley Wells acted as the consulting editor.

In our completely unbiased opinion, it’s possibly the best Shakespeare guide available.
