Shakespeare Week got off to a fantastic start with more than 3,000 schools and 170 partner organisations joining in our first national celebration of Shakespeare for UK primary school children last week.
Teachers downloaded resources from the Shakespeare Week web site more than 30,000 times, and we estimate that around half a million children took part in the celebrations. Many of them carried the Shakespeare bug home to their siblings, parents and friends, helping us to reach even more people across the UK.
We owe a huge thanks to everyone who helped to make the first Shakespeare Week such a fantastic success. Whether you organised an event, took part in an activity or just helped us to spread the word, we couldn't have done it without the help of our partners and supporters.
We're looking forward to making Shakespeare Week 2015 even bigger and better, so be sure to join us 16 – 22 March!
