Shakespeare’s Birthplace has been beautifully decorated for Christmas and the table prepared for a Yuletide feast of Tudor proportions. At the centre of the Bard’s blowout family meal stands the Boar’s head and actor Martin Smith has been inspired by its arrival to offer up his own unique serenade. The Boar’s Head Carol is part of an ancient tradition of carol singing and was sung in Shakespeare’s England at this time of year.
