Shakespeare’s Villains is a series of blogs by Finding Shakespeare and our education team. This week’s character, Tamora, is the only female to make it into our Villains list.
Access and Interpretation Coordinator, Anna Griffiths, is in the stacks at the Shakespeare Centre looking at early representations of Tamora, in particular a copy of a late sixteenth century illustration which is thought to have been drawn by the author Henry Peacham.
You can view pictures of Tamora from more recent RSC productions in our Flickr gallery, and don’t forget to check out yesterday’sBlogging Shakespeare post for a closer look at her character.
