The nearest Changing Places Toilet is located on Rother Street, CV37 6JP. More information can be obtained on the Changing Places Toilets website.
Visitor reception & shop
It is level access to Visitor Reception. There is a sloping pathway from Cottage Lane or a short level path from the Blue Badge and coach park. Ticket desks have a pull down lower desk to use. An accessible toilet with baby-changing facilities can be found behind visitor reception past the ticket desks. The exit is through the shop which is level access with a lower area of the till included.
Cottage
The building is not fully accessible to visitors or those using a walker due to entrance steps and uneven floors. Wheelchairs and pushchairs cannot be used inside the house. There is always a member of the Anne Hathaway’s Cottage team to welcome visitors at the entrance to the Cottage and give historical information and share stories about the Hathaway's who have lived there.
Gardens
The grounds are easy to navigate with many wide, sloping pathways and occasional seating. We have a folding wheelchair that can be borrowed to use across the Anne Hathaway’s Cottage site.
There is an Orchard, Sculpture Garden and Wilding area to the top right of the site and to the left of the Cottage garden and Cottage itself. Due to the natural terrain and ground conditions of these areas, they do have uneven surfaces with tree roots visible and animal burrows.
