A free online talk with people engaged in Shakespeare-related research.
Join professional actor and senior lecturer Abigail Rokison-Woodall as she shares with us her insights into some of Shakespeare’s most famous heroines and reflections on performances of them.
What are some of the main characteristics of Shakespeare’s female characters?
Which famous moments spring most to mind when we imagine them, and why?
What may we need to bear in mind when we think about them in performance?
Abigail has written extensively about Shakespeare and the theatre, and we look forward to discussing this fascinating subject with her.
Led by Dr Abigail Rokison-Woodall, a Senior Lecturer in Shakespeare and Theatre at The Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham.
