It Ever Was

In celebration of Warwickshire Pride, visitors can now listen to a new audio artwork by artist, Dr Rosie Poebright, during their visit at Shakespeare's Birthplace.

After exploring SBT's collections and finding out that William Shakespeare's sister, Joan Hart, had been left William's wardrobe in his will, Rosie was inspired to share her own personal reflections on gender and identity.

Rosie imagines what Joan might have done with William's clothes, offering an opportunity to look at the past through a different perspective.
