Autumn is here and we can't wait to welcome you to Shakespeare’s family homes.

From spooky performances at Shakespeare's Birthplace and hands-on-activities at Anne Hathaway's Cottage, to autumn walks with our new family-friendly trail and Supernatural Shakespeare at Shakespeare's New Place there’s so much to see and do .

Spend time in the garden at Shakespeare's Birthplace and enjoy live performances of scenes from some of Shakespeare spookiest plays.

Anne Hathaway's Cottage

Nurture in Nature - Make and take family activities from the Cottage garden

This Halloween, pop your welly boots on and head to Anne Hathaway Cottage to get creative with the wonderful Wild Earth Movement. Our spooky inspired activities, including mixing a witch’s potion and making a magical wand to keep the spirits at bay.

Perfect for children 4+ accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or guardian.

Nurture in Nature takes place at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage every Wednesday during the Warwickshire School Holidays from 11am –3pm.

Nature Explorer Backpacks - Get closer to Nature at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage

Pick up a Nature Explorer Backpack at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and discover all sorts of items to explore the cottage garden of young Anne.

Our Nature Explorer Backpacks are included in your admission and are exclusively available at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage.

There is a limited number of backpacks available and will be issued on a first come first served basis to children aged between 4-11 years old.

Enjoy daily from until 3 November, included in your admission.

Shakespeare's New Place

Sundays at New Place - Enjoy artist led workshops on selected Sundays during the school holidays

For October Half Term we will be welcoming artist Polly Merrydew into in the beautiful gardens of Shakespeare’s New Place so you can try your hand at creating abstract imagery.

27 October | 12 noon – 4pm - Polly Merrydew

You can enjoy these series of workshops from 12-4 pm on selected Sundays throughout the Warwickshire School holidays.

Creative Explorer Backpacks - Be inspired in Shakespeare’s house

Pick up a Creative Explorer Backpack and discover the place where William Shakespeare himself wrote many of his most well known plays.

Our Creative Explorer Backpacks are included in your admission and are exclusively available at Shakespeare’s New Place.

There is a limited number of backpacks available and will be issued on a first come first served basis to children aged between 4-11 years old.

Hidden Voices Exhibition – Our new exhibition celebrates the lives of the Women Who Made Shakespeare

NEW for 2024, explore the stories and lives of the remarkable women who lived and worked together at Shakespeare’s New Place, in our latest exhibition, Hidden Voices.

This exhibition uses objects from our collection, including artefacts from the late 16th and early 17th centuries.

Discover the impact of these women, as mothers, wives, widows, businesswomen and managers of a grand and busy household at New Place.
